A narrative puzzle platformer with a light-based twist! The twist being a mechanic that I’m pretty sure I’ve seen other games do. Worth trying if you like Limbo or INSIDE.
Spidersaurs
By Way Forward Classic Contra-style shoot’em up gameplay with a wacky plot and some fun mechanics. The controls definitely require some getting used to, however. Great visuals and sound, as expected. Not perfect, but worth a try!
A fantastic mystery adventure game packed with point-and-click style puzzles and dialogue choices. Great visuals and really fun interactive mechanics. Unique narrative too! Play it!
A fun little Harvest Moon-style life-sim/adventure game with a unique setting. Loved exploring the islands, managing resources, and building stuff.
Spelldrifter
By Free Range Games A pretty decent turn-based tactical RPG with a generic fantasy setting and an okay plot. The gameplay stands out a little by adding in some light CCG elements, which is cool, and offers a neat timeline system.
ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree
By Wildboy Studios Beautiful artwork, but feels a little inconsistent tone-wise: Is it supposed to be serious and mature or wacky and childish? The combat uses rhythm game mechanics and that just doesn’t really fit well in my opinion. Feels buggy overall.
An autorunner of sorts with incredible visuals and sound. It’ll catch you off guard with new mechanics, vastly different stages, and rhythm-based combat. It’s all so dynamic! One heck of an experience you do not want to miss out on.
Shantae and the Seven Sirens
By Way Forward While I normally love Shantae games, this one feels a bit rushed. The controls aren’t tight enough, the gameplay feels flimsy, the plot could be better, and the level design is okay. Fine overall if you need more Shantae.
It's a watered-down metroidvania game (no pun intended) with some survival and resource management mechanics. While pretty, it's very slow and gets very dull. Was a slog to play through and went on for longer than necessary.
Hot Lava
By Klei Entertainment, Inc. The gyro controls are a bit hard to get used to and make it difficult to play in public or in moving vehicles, but great game otherwise. It’s fun, challenging, and honestly worth playing for the animated cutscenes alone. Try it!
Oceanhorn 2
By Cornfox & Bros. A fantastic Zelda-like adventure game packed with dungeons, puzzles, quests, and a huge world to explore through seafaring. Don’t skip this one!
